Choose the Record Holder

Oregon release records come from the agency that held the person. Oregon DOC directs public-record requests, including Pen Pack requests, through its Public Records Center. The Oregon Board of Parole provides a separate Board records request for decisions and orders. VISOR support is available at 855-691-6246 for notification, website, or record questions. County jail records remain with the relevant sheriff, and court copies come from the court where the case was filed. Emergencies or immediate safety concerns belong with 911 or local law enforcement.

  • For a county jail departure, use the County Directory to reach that sheriff's local release sources.
  • For the fields and request paths at both layers, start with the statewide release-record overview.
  • For an active parole, probation, or post-prison case, follow the post-release supervision route.
  • For a named jail or prison, locate it in the Facility Directory.
  • For current Oregon prison custody or community supervision, use the DOC offender search.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System.
